It’s days like these I knew I’d run into, but wasn’t looking forward to.
Oregon was one of the states we had to plan on the go. I tried calling 5+ gyms in different cities, but no one answered. We took the trip up to Portland to get closer to the next state and had to just figure it out.
We ended up finding a CrossFit gym that had a grinder of a workout and we went for it. We pulled up without knowing anyone, put our head down, and went to work.
It’s funny some people respond really excited to what we are doing and others want nothing to do about it. Initially, the people were the latter.
Once I got to talking to them and explaining it all they got it, but it was just one of those days that you chalk up to figuring it out and keep going.
That afternoon I had my first cry of Mission48 & if y’all know me you know I’m not much of a cryer. I think it was just all the route changes that needed to happen & stress built up from the previous few days.
But, some moments you let it out, you take a breath, and you keep going.
That was one of those days. & we keep on going.
Thank you all so much for the love + support throughout this journey – it’s been needed and I deeply appreciate every text, re-post, prayer, & encouragement from all of you!

I created Mission48 where I compete in 48 fitness events in 48 states in 48 days to inspire women and young girls to step out of their comfort zone & build self-confidence. I partnered with Ruling Our eXperiences, a nonprofit that does 20-week programs in schools for young girls to help them build self-confidence, communicate better & build leaders. Our BIG goal is to fund 10,000 girls for their programs.
It’s $100 to fund one girl for a 20-week ROX program. If this speaks to you please donate below! ✨
