M48 DAY 16 Recap: WASHINGTON – Spartan Race

We changed our entire route up to get to this Spartan Race.

I talked with the Spartan team a few months ago when I was planning Mission48. It is SO hard to get into big companies like these and talk to the right people so I was pumped. Unfortunately, none of the events lined up on the days we would be in the specific state.

But, when an opportunity comes knocking… you make it work. We had to be in Washington on a Saturday, so changed up Oregon, Nevada, & California to make it work. The time driving went up a ton and the route makes way less sense, but we did it.

We rode in the Bronco instead of the RV because there was no RV safe route (we learned our lesson to listen to it).

Hundreds of other cars were pulling in as we were. The course was pretty open so we could see others already climbing, diving into mud, and all the other crazy things you do in a Spartan race.

We started our 5k race, which was a lot of running at the beginning, then a lot of climbing at the end. It was SO fun to just get dirty and climb things.

I did a Spartan race about 2 years ago in West Virginia and could barely get any obstacles there so it was cool to see how much progress I made in that time.

Overall it was a fun day that was needed after yesterday. We drove 5hrs to meet back up with the RV and off to California.”

I created Mission48 where I compete in 48 fitness events in 48 states in 48 days to inspire women and young girls to step out of their comfort zone & build self-confidence. I partnered with Ruling Our eXperiencesa nonprofit that does 20-week programs in schools for young girls to help them build self-confidence, communicate better & build leaders. Our BIG goal is to fund 10,000 girls for their programs.

It’s $100 to fund one girl for a 20-week ROX program. If this speaks to you please donate below! ✨
