We ended up getting into Colorado at 3am and woke up by 6:30a to get to the Manitou Incline.
It’s a mile length of stairs that were built on the side of a mountain. Sometimes ignorance is bliss when you have no clue what you pure getting yourself into.
We got there and started one by one up the stairs.
The tricky part was the elevation difference as you get climbing. Being an Ohio girl that has barely any elevation my body was quite confused sometimes.
It took us about an hour to climb and as we got to the top there was a guy that was playing guitar. We sat for a little bit and tried to find J as he was WAY in front of us.
We looked up at the highest peak on the mountain and of course… found J right at the top 😂
The people that climbed amazed me. There was someone that was 80 years old+, people of all sizes, ages, and everything in between.
There’s a common language of everyone that was climbing that day – we were all doing hard things and learning about ourselves as we went.
Then, we drove from Colorado to Kansas I rad a text from Dr Dev saying she’d match up to 10 girls for ROX programs by Saturday.
What happened from there.. was amazing.

I created Mission48 where I compete in 48 fitness events in 48 states in 48 days to inspire women and young girls to step out of their comfort zone & build self-confidence. I partnered with Ruling Our eXperiences, a nonprofit that does 20-week programs in schools for young girls to help them build self-confidence, communicate better & build leaders. Our BIG goal is to fund 10,000 girls for their programs.
It’s $100 to fund one girl for a 20-week ROX program. If this speaks to you please donate below! ✨
