Discomfort breeds growth.
That discomfort might be stepping into the gym for the first time, making a big career change, or keeping a promise to yourself to workout when you’d rather hit snooze.
For me today that discomfort was doing a 45 minute long workout with nasal breathing only then, hitting the sauna & a cold plunge.
In that discomfort, many times there’s space for that little voice to come up.
Sometimes that little voice can be empowering. Other times it can be the one that tries to talk you out of it the most.
Today that little voice was turned up to a whole nother level when we were 12-minutes in, still had 30+ minutes to go, & I was tired without being able to breathe through my mouth (there’s scientific reasoning behind doing nasal breathing during a workout 🤓).
Instead of listening to that voice & saying, “I can’t do it.” I took a breath in, leaned into that discomfort, & knew on the other side I building a better, more resilient badass human.
Discomfort can look so different for so many people.
But instead of trying to run away…
Lean into discomfort.
Lean into stepping out of the 5’s and 6’s and going after the 9’s & 10’s.
You may just surprise yourself in the growth 😉
