M48 DAY 8 Recap: Sioux Falls, SOUTH DAKOTA – Half Marathon

Yesterday was the best and the toughest day I’ve had so far. Half-marathon, but with the best community in South Dakota we could have asked for.

For those that know me know running is one of the most challenging things for me when it comes to anything physical. Did I train much running prior to Mission48? Nope 🙃

The last 3 miles I had to dig deep just to keep one foot in front of the other to get to the finish line. I had to keep saying to myself the Goggins quote of, “I’m only at 40%.”

I could not have asked for a better group to coordinate the run with or women to be with though. @runsiouxfalls@siouxfallswomenrun you all are the BEST! We had women take off work & drive 5+ hours to run with me – what a blessing.

Then, to top it off we had an anonymous donor match up to $500 if we could raise it.. AND WE DID thanks to you 🤍 Up to 40+ girls are now funded for @rulingourexperiences programs. Let’s keep this going baby! ✨

Dig deep, push through & go chase those dreams.

I created Mission48 where I compete in 48 fitness events in 48 states in 48 days to inspire women and young girls to step out of their comfort zone & build self-confidence. I partnered with Ruling Our eXperiencesa nonprofit that does 20-week programs in schools for young girls to help them build self-confidence, communicate better & build leaders. Our BIG goal is to fund 10,000 girls for their programs.
