Mission48 Week 3 RECAP

The test of the will… & remembering why.

That is the sum of week 3. It was our longest stretch of the trip with driving times and a lot of last minute changes.

It started with Oregon by having to plan that on the fly and the gym we went to not being very happy we were there at the beginning. It was a “put your head down and just get to work” state.

Then, we went to Washington in the Bronco because there was no RV safe route for a Spartan race. That was muddy and a ton of fun.

California was the next day, and the day I’ll coin as the “breakdown day.” A 20 minute long workout took 45+ minutes as I tried to fight back tears and catch my breath. I’ll be honest, Mission48 wasn’t playing out how I hoped it would and a lot was weighing on me – donations weren’t coming in, it was more emotionally/mentally exhausting than physical, and it was a lot navigating changes, people, and trips. In that moment I realized I needed to redirect the entire mission in the way that was my vision.

Arizona and New Mexico rejuvenated everything for me. Those were two days after some of the hardest days of the trip so far that reminded me why I was here.

From New Mexico to Kansas I got a text on my phone from a great friend of mine, Dr. Dev, saying she would match up to 10 girls for ROX programs by Saturday.

I put it out on my social and you all SHOWED UP! In less than 24 hours, we funded not only 10 girls, but 13 girls for ROX Programs.

She matched it, so we sponsored 23 more girls for their programs to develop confidence in less than 24 hours.

Lauren from ROX emailed me saying she doesn’t know what we are doing, but the influx of donations over the past day was incredible.

We finished week 3 with Kansas being one of my favorite states thus far. We did a (grueling) workout at Mactown CrossFit with members and a bunch of kids in the Forging Youth Resilience program. It was a day I’ll never forget.

Heading into week 4 I feel alive, aligned, and ready to go.

Thanks to every single one of you showing up together and spreading the word.

So far we have funded 81 girls for ROX programs! Our big goal within the next week is to get that number to 100!

Here’s to another week building strong, confident girls and women around the country!

I created Mission48 where I compete in 48 fitness events in 48 states in 48 days to inspire women and young girls to step out of their comfort zone & build self-confidence. I partnered with Ruling Our eXperiencesa nonprofit that does 20-week programs in schools for young girls to help them build self-confidence, communicate better & build leaders. Our BIG goal is to fund 10,000 girls for their programs.

It’s $100 to fund one girl for a 20-week ROX program. If this speaks to you please donate below! ✨
